Tax liens do have a redemption period before you can foreclose on the property....All states / counties are different...

There are tax deeds and Tac liens... both differ in many ways...

You do not always "own the property" right away... RESEARCH >>>. RESEARCH >>>. before you bid...

Bill, your best bet will be to visit the government sites for real estate (fasrp.sc.egov.usda.gov/fasrp/mainAction.do) and home auctions (www.homesales.gov/homesales/mainAction.do). There are some for-profit sites like GovernmentAuctions.org that offer lists of state auctions, but I can't vouch for their validity, or whether they offfer anything you can't find for free on the official government sites.
