Rescreatu: This virtual pet site is a lot different than FooPets. It begins by being completely free and doesn’t even require e-mail activation, so you can get started right away. You search the hatchery for a pet, raise it from an egg and watch it grow. You then continue to raise and train your Creatu to be the best Creatu it can be. This is actually a mythical or fantasy pet, with over 35 different options. You get to explore several fantasy worlds and interact with others on the site.
Other Virtual Pets
FooPets and Rescreatu represent the best that the Internet has to offer in terms of adopting a virtual pet and watching it grow, play and live. Outside of the Internet, there are other virtual pets that you can purchase, including various forms of NeoPets and several Nintendo DS games. The problem with these games and toys is that they do not provide the same immersive experience as the sites do. The one perk is that they can be taken with you, so when you get bored you can always pull them out to pass the time.
