Fantasy Football Web Sites

From LoveToKnow Online

Fantasy football web sites span the World Wide Web like one gigantic football field. There are literally thousands of information sites, both free and for pay, for fantasy football enthusiasts to examine.

Popular Fantasy Football Web Sites

When fantasy football began decades ago, magazines were the only providers of the statistical data, for which team owners hunger. Now, with the explosion of the Internet and search engines and information sites, like LoveToKnow, tens of millions of fantasy football enthusiasts are flocking to the Internet in search of valuable information. Here is some detail on just a few fantasy football web sites that enthusiasts might visit for information, places to compete and conversation.

4for4.com

The fantasy football web site 4for4.com is one of many combination fantasy football sites. Combination sites are those that offer some free information, along with more-detailed statistics and advice for pay; most combination sites also host leagues of some kind. This site produces quality news from the National Football League, updated daily. One thing separating 4for4 from other sites is that most of its content is provided by professional football reporters. These Scouts cover NFL teams for their local papers or TV stations, offering excellent, reliable inside information.

Footballguys.com

Another combination fantasy football web site is Footballguys.com. Like 4for4, this site offers free and pay information. The writers for this site use a bit more informal approach. They offer a One-Page Bios on each writer, including things like hobbies, dream cars and pet peeves. The information, though, is solid, in spite of the banter.

Fantasy Football Toolbox

This is a fantasy football site that is packed with information. Aptly named, Fantasy Football Toolbox provides how-to-play information, all the stats you’d ever want, and a nifty NFL Rumor and News page that keeps fantasy football owners up to speed on all of the in-season and off-season maneuvering of pro teams and players.

FFTODAY.com

One fantasy football site that appears to be more current than most with its information is FFTODAY.com. Scouting profiles, coaching changes and player movement all are updated regularly. Touting itself as “A Fantasy Football Community,” FFTODAY.com offers a chat page that allows fantasy owners to express their feelings on a variety of subjects. The Community Board requires a free registration and offers discussion on other fantasy sports, in addition to fantasy football.

Myfantasyfootball.com

If you are already in a league, and you’re looking for an online fantasy football site that can run the league for you, this is one of best places. For just $80.00 for the entire league, myfantasyfootball.com will put together an online league that will make play easier than ever. You’ll get a home page with your divisions, links to teams with e-mail addresses, so you can contact competitors for trades, weekly updated player stats both in your league and in the NFL, and a message board for running smack at your opponents. If you’re still using snail mail for weekly updates you may want to check out myfantasyfootball.com.

You might check out www.fantasyfootballmanifesto.com. It's a decent site with good information on draft strategies and a really unique cheat sheet. I found it while getting ready for my fantasy football draft this year and found it really helpful.
