First Impressions

The Bank of America web site is about functionality rather than flair. You can access your personal, small business, or corporate account with an online ID. You can find out what products and services Bank of America offers, manage your account, and get tips on achieving goals like buying a house and planning for college.

Web Site Ease of Use

Once you log in, everything you need to do is easily found in the middle of the page. Most of the features you’ll use are probably in the Manage Your Account section. Just click and you’re on your way. There aren’t a million screens you have to surf through, though you may have to tell the site what state you bank in.

Achieve Your Goals

Bank of America Online Banking offers a couple of unique features to help customers build their savings. The first is Keep the Change. Every time you use your bank card or checking account, Bank of America will round the purchase to the nearest dollar, take that difference and put it into your savings account. For the first three months, they will match it dollar for dollar. For the next nine months Bank of America will match nine percent of your savings.

Another way to plan for the future is to use Bank of America to help you search for and buy a home. You can also plan for college and apply for student loans. Bank of American also has an extensive retirement planning center as well as ways to help you consolidate debt.

A Bank, Just With No Walls

Even though you rarely will interact with actual people, this might be fine for those who just want the bare minimum of banking with no hassles. If you need more than that, Bank of America’s customer service is very friendly and helpful. They will put you in touch with the right people, especially when it comes to the more complex retirement planning and investment opportunities.

Comments

I'm sorry to hear that Andrew. If you visit your bank's website, there should be a link you can follow if you forgot your password or login ID. It's usually located near the login interface. If all else fails, call customer service and see if someone can reset your online account.

Visit the Bank of America website or stop by your local branch for more information, Albert. CampusEdge checking might be a good option for you.
