Baby Virtual Pets

From LoveToKnow Online

Add the appeal of babies to the popularity of digital animals, and it's easy to see why baby virtual pets are a hot commodity.

The Appeal of Digital Babies

Virtual pets are a popular choice among online games. Some people play them because they're looking for a casual gaming experience to simply to pass the time. Others are fans of simulation games, such as Virtual Family.

Virtual pets can also be educational. Children may use them to learn more about the responsibilities of pet ownership. In fact, players of all ages can use a digital animal to gauge their readiness for adding a new furry member to the family.

Baby animals are hard to resist. Many of the images created of virtual puppies and kittens are just plain cuter than the equivalent pictures of adult dogs and cats. However, in addition to the cuteness, raising baby virtual pets lets players enjoy a more realistic pet-owning experience. Players can gain a sense of accomplishment from nurturing their baby digital pets and helping them grow.

Available Baby Virtual Pets

Bring a new life into the world at one of the following online virtual pet sites.

Bunnyhero Labs

Bunnyhero Labs is a popular destination for free virtual pets and creatures. The site's pets are designed to be posted on a web page, such as a blog or social networking profile. Several of the available pets are baby animals, including a puppy, kitten, chick and lion cub. You can interact with your baby virtual pets by clicking on them to pet them, give them food and play with them. However, unlike some digital animals, they maintain a static design and will not grow over time.

CyberInfants.com

Perhaps you're not looking for a baby version of a digital pet, but instead you're interested in a virtual human baby to be your online companion. CyberInfants.com is here to deliver a virtual bundle of joy. Your baby resides in a small Flash video that you can visit on the site or embed in any web page or online profile. As a virtual mother or father, your goal is to keep your child from getting cranky. You can feed your baby, walk your baby, change its diaper and play games with it. All of these actions earn Care Points that you can spend in the on-site store to obtain food and toys. Connect with other "parents" by sending messages through the site and arranging playdates. It's free to play, but you can try out the "Guest" baby to get a feel for the site before registering.

FooPets

FooPets provides adoptable puppies and kittens. These animated pets frolic before your eyes. Just like real pets, they require regular feeding and attention. In addition to the main site, you can also play with your puppy or kitten on MySpace or Facebook. Before registering, users should note that although FooPets is a free game, you can buy FooDollars to purchase food and accessories. Parents may need to set ground rules for kids playing with their virtual pets, and adults should take care not to let their spending get out of control.

Rescreatu

Rescreatu starts your journey with your virtual pet as early as possible – when your new friend is still an egg. After your digital animal hatches, you can then guide its growth by caring for it and training it. You won't find your typical puppies and kittens here; Rescreatu's niche is fantasy creatures.

With your digital baby animals, you can experience the joy of guiding a young life or just revel in the cuteness.
